Dimensity 9400 Plus

Dimensity 9400 Plus is MediaTek’s April 2025 refresh of its flagship phone chip, not a new generation. MediaTek kept the same 3nm process and eight-core layout, and raised the top CPU clock from 3.62GHz to 3.73GHz.

The changes that matter most sit away from raw speed. The Dimensity 9400 Plus adds faster on-device AI features, a new frame rate converter, and phone-to-phone Bluetooth rated at up to 10km in line of sight.

This article separates what MediaTek claims from what pooled results show. Every benchmark below comes from NanoReview, an aggregator that pools user-submitted results, so each score is tagged as a crowd aggregate (CR). No controlled lab test of a retail phone with this chip was found.

The Short Version

  • Announced in April 2025 on a TSMC 3nm process: one Cortex-X925 core at up to 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.30GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.40GHz.
  • Graphics: Mali-G925 Immortalis MP12, a 12-core design at up to 1,612MHz, unchanged in core count from the Dimensity 9400.
  • NanoReview’s crowd aggregate (CR) lists AnTuTu 11 at 2,874,956 and Geekbench 6 at 2,729 single-core and 8,430 multi-core for the Dimensity 9400 Plus.
  • Against the Dimensity 9400 on the same versions, the Dimensity 9400 Plus is mixed: AnTuTu 11 is about 1.8% higher, while Geekbench 6 is lower on both counts.
  • MediaTek claims 20% faster agentic AI with Speculative Decoding+ (MF), wider language model support, and Bluetooth range up to 10km.
  • Phones listed with the chip include the OPPO Find X8s Plus, OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, Xiaomi Redmi K80 Ultra, Realme GT 7 (China), vivo X200s, Xiaomi 15T Pro, and vivo X200T. No phone price was verified.

Dimensity 9400 Plus specifications: what the plus changes

The CPU story is a single clock change. MediaTek styles the name as Dimensity 9400+, and the official product page keeps the all-big-core design from the Dimensity 9400: one Cortex-X925 core, three Cortex-X4 cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores. Only the top core moves, from 3.62GHz to 3.73GHz, a rise of about 3%.

That narrow change sets the right expectation. A 0.11GHz rise on one core can help short bursts, such as opening an app, but it cannot by itself transform sustained performance. The table below keeps the Dimensity 9400 Plus and the Dimensity 9400 side by side.

Graphics hardware does not change, but graphics software does. The Dimensity 9400 Plus keeps the Mali-G925 Immortalis MP12 with 1,536 shaders, and MediaTek adds opacity micromap support plus a Frame Rate Converter 2.0+ that the company says can double effective frame rates in supported titles. Both claims are manufacturer claims (MF), unconfirmed by independent tests in the sources checked.

Dimensity 9400 Plus benchmarks: the aggregates in context

On AI, the NPU 890 stays, and MediaTek says the Dimensity 9400 Plus supports a wider range of large language models, including Mixture-of-Experts and FP8 inferencing, with on-device DeepSeek-R1-Distill support. The claimed 20% faster agentic AI performance is a company claim (MF), not a measured phone result.

Testing note: No published same-chassis lab test exists; treat phone scores as orientation only. Results below come from different retail phones, as pooled by NanoReview, and are useful for ballpark comparison, not a controlled duel.

The headline aggregate for the Dimensity 9400 Plus is 2,874,956 on AnTuTu 11 (CR): CPU 869,347, GPU 1,015,558, memory 357,663, and UX 632,388. Geekbench 6 (CR) lists 2,729 single-core and 8,430 multi-core, The 3DMark figures (CR) are 2,377 on Steel Nomad Light, 10,715 on Solar Bay, and 5,777 on Wild Life Extreme.

Against the Dimensity 9400 on the same aggregator, the picture for the Dimensity 9400 Plus is mixed. AnTuTu 11 total rises about 1.8%, driven by a GPU subscore about 4.5% higher, while the CPU subscore sits about 3.4% lower. Geekbench 6 runs lower on both counts, and Wild Life Extreme falls about 7.9%. Pooled aggregates mix phones and firmware, so small gaps prove little.

Remember that real-world sustained performance depends on each phone’s cooling design, software tuning and ambient temperature as much as on the chip itself.

Dimensity 9400 Plus phones: where the chip actually ships

Newer AnTuTu 12 user totals above 3 million are left out here, because AnTuTu 12 cannot be compared with AnTuTu 11.

Launch coverage named the OPPO Find X8s and Find X8s Plus, the vivo X200s, and the Realme GT7 as the first phones with the Dimensity 9400 Plus, expected in April 2025. NanoReview’s listing has since grown to nine models, and the spread warns against one number for the chip: the OPPO Find X8s Plus leads at 3,107,273 on AnTuTu v11, while the vivo X200T sits at 2,725,989.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro deserves a separate note as the most widely sold global model in the listing, at 2,788,439 on AnTuTu v11, below the chip aggregate of 2,874,956. Buyers should judge each phone by reviews of that exact phone. No price for any phone in the list is stated here, because none was verified.

Battery life: a phone property, not a chip verdict

NanoReview gives both the Dimensity 9400 Plus and the Dimensity 9400 a battery-life composite of 93, but that is the aggregator’s own scoring system, not a measured endurance result from any phone. No identical-condition battery duel was found, with no controlled endurance test verified, so no battery evidence table has been invented here. Battery life is primarily a phone property, not a chip property, and no chip winner on battery is declared here.

Connectivity in daily use

The Dimensity 9400 Plus uses a 3GPP Release-17 5G modem with sub-6GHz 5G, LTE Cat. 24, and download speeds up to 7,300 Mbps, plus Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, according to MediaTek. No mmWave support is listed in the sources checked, so none is claimed here. Wi-Fi 7 helps only buyers whose router can use it.

In practice, the Dimensity 9400 Plus connectivity gains matter most to buyers whose other gear matches them. Wi-Fi 7 speeds need a Wi-Fi 7 router, and the long-range Bluetooth feature needs a second compatible phone in line of sight. Most buyers in Bangladesh, South Asia, and much of Europe on sub-6GHz 5G or LTE will see no daily benefit from extra modem headroom alone, while United States buyers should check each phone’s carrier bands.

Confirmed, reported and unknown

Confirmed here means verified from NanoReview’s chip pages or MediaTek’s materials for the Dimensity 9400 Plus: the April 2025 window, the 3nm TSMC process, the 1+3+4 layout with a 3.73GHz top clock, the Mali-G925 Immortalis MP12 GPU, the NPU 890, LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 and UFS 4.1 storage, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and the nine phones with their AnTuTu v11 totals. The FoneArena launch report notes devices were expected later in April 2025, but availability by market was not verified.

Quick Answers

Is the Dimensity 9400 Plus faster than the Dimensity 9400?

On pooled aggregates, not clearly. The Dimensity 9400 Plus leads by about 1.8% on AnTuTu 11 total and trails on Geekbench 6 and Wild Life Extreme, all NanoReview crowd aggregates (CR). The two chips sit in the same performance class.

Which phones use this chip?

NanoReview lists nine: the OPPO Find X8s Plus, OPPO Find X8s, OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, vivo iQOO Z10 Turbo Plus, Redmi K80 Ultra, Realme GT 7 (China), vivo X200s, Xiaomi 15T Pro, and vivo X200T.

Does the 10km Bluetooth range work with earbuds?

No. MediaTek rates the 10km figure for phone-to-phone direct Bluetooth connections in line of sight, between two compatible phones, without cellular service. It does not promise 10km for earbuds or accessories.

Should buyers in Bangladesh wait for a phone with this chip?

Only if the specific phone with the Dimensity 9400 Plus is officially sold or reliably supported in Bangladesh at a fair price. No Bangladesh price or availability was verified, so grey-import buyers should confirm warranty, charger, bands, and support before paying.

The Takeaway

The Dimensity 9400 Plus is a careful refresh, not a leap. The CPU gain is small, the pooled benchmarks are mixed, and the real additions are AI features, frame conversion, and long-range Bluetooth.

Pick a phone with this chip if:

  • you want the specific phone for its camera, display, battery size, or software support, and it happens to use this chip
  • you use on-device AI features the phone maker actually ships, tested in a review of that phone
  • you value long-range phone-to-phone Bluetooth and own a second compatible phone

Pick a Dimensity 9400 phone instead if:

  • it is clearly cheaper with similar storage, display, camera, and software support
  • you mostly stream, browse, and message, where the pooled gap is too small to notice
  • the Dimensity 9400 Plus phone is only an unofficial import with weak warranty

At the same price and similar condition, prefer the better-maintained and better-supported phone, and judge the phone, not the chip. Screen, camera tuning, battery size, and update commitments matter more than a small benchmark gap, so do not over-index on specs.

Score methodology: Lab-reviewer (LR) scores come from named outlets’ controlled testing. Crowd (CR) scores come from aggregator databases (NanoReview) that pool user-submitted results and are less controlled. Company (MF) numbers are manufacturer claims. We treat LR scores as the strongest evidence, CR as directional, and MF as attributed. No LR benchmark for this chip was found in the sources checked, so every benchmark figure in this article is tagged (CR).
